The Lobby Café Barback supports bar operations at The Beverly Hills Hotel, part of Dorchester Collection, helping deliver guest service at the hotel’s new Lobby Café. The role includes bar setup, stocking, inventory, guest assistance and coordination with hotel teams; it is permanent and full-time, with varying schedules including holidays.
Role & Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain the bar, assist with guest and service requests, and uphold service standards.
- Keep the bar stocked with glassware, wine, beer, soda, water, juices, ice and garnishes.
- Assist with weekly inventory, track supplies needed, put deliveries away, and keep the bar organized.
- Help build guest relationships, including recognizing in-house and MLA guests.
- Attend to guest requests concerning dietary restrictions, drink and garnish preferences, and special occasions.
- Report hotel imperfections and blemishes and work with other positions to address them.
- Maintain open communication with other departments and the wider hotel team.
- Represent The Beverly Hills Hotel with pride and uphold the principles, goals and policies of its Pledge.
- Work varying schedules, including holidays, to meet hotel business demands.
- Talk and hear; walk and stand for up to 8 hours; bend, stoop and crouch; use hand, finger and wrist dexterity; and regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds. The role also requires close and distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
