The In-Room Dining Order Taker at The Lana, Dorchester Collection Dubai, oversees daily service, guest calls, menu recommendations and upselling, team training, revenue targets, cost control and outlet standards. The role also entails daily briefings and coordination with other departments; it is permanent and full-time.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of In-Room Dining to deliver an excellent guest experience.
- Greet guests warmly by phone, answer questions about available menus, and recommend and upsell menu items using in-depth menu knowledge.
- Maintain the outlet in immaculate condition and ensure supporting team members adhere to service standards.
- Train and mentor the waiter team, ensuring they have excellent product knowledge and can assist guests effectively.
- Support revenue targets and control costs within preset budgets, including beverage costs and other expenses.
- Participate in daily pre-service team briefings and stay informed about hotel updates and upcoming service.
- Liaise with other departments to maintain presentation, cleanliness and maintenance standards for furniture, equipment, floors, fixtures and fittings.
- Bring the hotel's values of Passion, Personality, Respect, Working Together and Creativity to the role.
Qualifications

- Hold a relevant professional certification or hotel-school diploma.
- Bring extensive experience working in luxury hotels and restaurants in the Middle East.
