Role & Responsibilities
- Clean guest rooms, corridors, floor public areas and pantries to hotel standards.
- Check that guest rooms are in proper condition and that items are functioning; report repair needs to the Supervisor.
- Clean corridors and public areas on assigned floors, and maintain the cleanliness of equipment and pantries.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel products and services to answer guest questions.
- Respond to guest questions and requests in a friendly, caring manner, taking appropriate action or referring matters to the relevant person; this may include providing information or an extra item such as a towel.
- Report guests requiring special attention, unusual situations and incidents requiring follow-up to support consistency and guest satisfaction.
- Provide turndown service in assigned guest rooms to hotel standards.
- Help control guest and cleaning supplies to save costs.
- Update assignments on completion and record relevant guest preferences and maintenance information.
- Bring the hotel’s values of Passion, Personality, Respect, Working Together and Creativity to the role and contribute to its legacy.
- Be motivated, passionate and committed.
Qualifications
- English communication skills; Arabic and French are additional languages considered a plus.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar position at a luxury five-star hotel.
