Dorchester Collection is recruiting a Food and Beverage Stewarding Intern for a six-month, full-time internship starting January 2027 at Plaza Athénée in Paris; a 35-hour work week applies, and an internship agreement is required. The intern will support product sourcing, inventory, purchasing, team supervision, event logistics and stewarding operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Identify new products for use across the hotel's food and beverage outlets.
- Maintain and monitor quarterly inventories of the hotel's chinaware, glassware and silverware (VVA), as well as small kitchen equipment.
- Source new food and beverage products.
- Prepare food and beverage CAPEX projects.
- Act as the point of contact between the kitchens and outlets for equipment-related matters.
- Assist with orders and receipt of deliveries of chinaware, glassware and silverware (VVA), consumables and cleaning products.
- Maintain high-quality relationships with suppliers.
- Supervise the Stewarding team of approximately 20 people daily and assist with preparing schedules.
- Coordinate the different food and beverage outlets and assist with logistics for all food and beverage events.
- Manage breakage and investigate its causes.
- Oversee the quality of cleaning and compliance with hygiene and safety standards for equipment and back-of-house areas.
- Participate in training new team members.
- Assist with departmental administration, including correspondence, email and procedures.
