The Event Management Intern supports the Events Managers and Director at Plaza Athénée, assisting with inquiries, proposals, reservations, contracts, event coordination, invoicing and department administration. This full-time, six-month internship starts in January 2027 and requires an internship agreement; the schedule follows a 35-hour week.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Events Managers and Director.
- Assist the Events department in ensuring each project succeeds.
- Assist with receiving event and group inquiries.
- Prepare commercial proposals in French or English to meet client expectations.
- Manage and follow up on reservations through Nexus Sales & Catering.
- Draft contracts after client confirmation and pro forma invoices to track deposits.
- Coordinate with the Banquets and Accommodation departments and relay relevant information.
- Prepare BEO function sheets or assist with accommodation function sheets for groups and seminars.
- Manage group reservations through Opéra.
- Prepare post-event invoices and follow up on billing through Opéra.
- Maintain the department's archives and administrative documents.
- Manage the department's stock.
Qualifications
- Excellent professional presentation.
- Initial education at Bac +3 or Bac +5 level.
- Rigorous, organised and autonomous.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate harmoniously and effectively with other teams.
- Fluent English and French; Spanish, Italian or German skills are an additional asset.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Opéra is an asset.
- Experience in the hotel sector; expertise in reservations or revenue management is an asset.
