Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve hot drinks, operating and maintaining the espresso machine with care and expertise.
- Keep the work area clean and organized so colleagues and management can locate resources and products, while delivering excellent product quality and attentive guest service.
- Maintain high product-preparation standards by calibrating espresso machines, grinding coffee beans and consistently pulling high-quality espresso shots.
- When needed, work alongside bartenders and servers to keep the Lobby Café clean, tidy and fully restocked.
- Maintain and thoroughly clean the espresso machine at the close of each business day.
- Answer guest questions about the coffee program with enthusiasm and expertise, demonstrating knowledge of vendor products and coffee.
- Identify and report imperfections and blemishes in the hotel, and work with colleagues in other roles to correct them.
- Communicate openly with other departments and the wider hotel team to ensure alignment.
- Represent the Lobby Café and The Beverly Hills Hotel with pride, upholding the principles, goals and policies of The Beverly Hills Hotel Pledge.
