Dorchester Collection is seeking a Bar Waiter for Bar 45 at 45 Park Lane, London. The role welcomes and serves guests, supports menu enquiries, maintains a clean and safe bar and pantry, and works closely with bartenders; it is suited to someone beginning a career in luxury hospitality. Permanent, full-time position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome guests, take orders, and serve drinks and food in a friendly and timely manner.
- Build and maintain working knowledge of food and drinks menus to support the team and respond to guest enquiries.
- Accommodate guest requests flexibly and support the team with a calm, solutions-focused approach as service demands change.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the bar and pantry throughout the day, keeping workspaces safe, hygienic, and guest-ready.
- Collaborate closely with bartenders to help deliver the distinctive energy of Bar 45.
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining cleanliness and organisation.
- Proactive and dependable approach, with readiness to support the team without prompting.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills in a busy, dynamic setting.
- Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in food and beverage environments.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holiday periods.
- Comfortable communicating in English with guests and colleagues.
- Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or luxury hospitality support role is preferred.
- Familiarity with basic bar tools and equipment, and beverage stock rotation, is preferred.
- Ability to carry drinks and plates safely and confidently is preferred.
- Passion for mixology or bar culture, or a desire to develop into a bartender role, is preferred.
- Knowledge of five-star service environments and guest expectations is preferred.
