The Assistant Chief Engineer at 45 Park Lane and Mayfair Park Residences ensures compliant engineering maintenance, safe and well-maintained hotel equipment, and seamless 24/7 service. The role leads and develops the engineering team, manages operational costs and profitability, and works with the Area Director of Engineering on recruitment, mentorship, wellbeing and development. Permanent, full-time position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure engineering maintenance complies with legislation, public safety is protected, and hotel equipment meets required standards.
- Mobilise and inspire engineering team members to build a high-performing team and deliver an excellent guest experience.
- Manage operational costs and profitability, and improve guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and improve engineering practices, policies and procedures to ensure seamless 24/7 operations and engineering service.
- Partner with the Area Director of Engineering to support the engineering team through recruitment, mentorship, wellbeing and personal development.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hospitality environment.
- ONC/HNC or City & Guilds qualification in Engineering or Building Services, mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
- Extensive experience in construction, plumbing, carpentry, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Education
