Donzé-Baume seeks a Quality Methods Technician in Les Breuleux, Switzerland to manage quality control strategy for watch and jewelry production.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and implement quality control strategies tailored to product specifications, including writing inspection schedules and establishing appropriate dimensional measurement tools
- Develop and execute coordinate measurement machine (CMM) programs using optical and tactile scanning technology
- Collaborate with design, methods, and production departments on cross-functional initiatives
- Participate in new product development by attending review meetings, validating production samples, inspecting customer submission pieces, and drafting submission reports
- Conduct process capability analysis to evaluate manufacturing feasibility and performance
- Serve as technical metrology reference for problem-solving initiatives and conduct precise measurements as required
- Analyze statistical process monitoring (SPM) data and CMM/R&R studies to validate control strategy effectiveness
- Organize and facilitate quality assurance meetings and coordinate surveillance audits to ensure compliance with best practices
- Provide technical support and guidance to production operators on measurement and inspection procedures
- Participate in technology monitoring and related continuous improvement projects
Qualifications
- Diploma in microtechnology, precision mechanics, physical measurements, quality engineering, or equivalent qualification
- Several years of professional experience in watchmaking and/or jewelry manufacturing
- Demonstrated expertise in CMM programming (PCDMIS, Keyence, or similar platforms)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
