Dolce & Gabbana seeks a skilled Tailor to join the Tailoring Department at its Legnano facility. The role encompasses sample garment construction and small-batch production, with responsibilities including manual finishing techniques, technical problem-solving with design and production teams, and adherence to quality standards and delivery timelines. This position offers an opportunity to contribute artisanal expertise to luxury fashion production.
Role & Responsibilities
- Complete sample garments and small production runs according to technical specifications and pattern requirements, respecting supervisory guidance and company quality and timeline standards
- Execute manual finishing techniques including hand-sewn buttonholes, hemming, hook attachment, and button reinforcement
- Collaborate with tailoring team members, pattern makers, and product development departments to resolve technical issues and ensure consistent garment quality
Qualifications
- Prior professional experience as a tailor in industrial manufacturing or specialized sewing workshops
- Demonstrated expertise with premium fabrics including silk, chiffon, duchesse, georgette, and voile
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical specification sheets
- Competency with industrial sewing machinery including straight stitch, serger, buttonhole, blind stitch, and AMF machines
- Autonomy and precision across all garment construction phases
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, collaborative work ethic, schedule flexibility, and commitment to team objectives
