Dolce & Gabbana seeks a skilled Pressing and Finishing Specialist to join the Pattern & Tailoring Celebrities department in Milan. The role encompasses pre-pressing, final pressing, and detailed finishing of high-end women's celebrity garments—both custom-made and ready-to-wear pieces—while maintaining exacting quality standards and strict delivery timelines.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute pre-pressing and final pressing phases for celebrity women's garments in strict adherence to company quality standards
- Perform comprehensive quality control inspections on in-process and finished garments through visual examination before and after pressing to verify absence of defects, creases, or staining
- Apply specialized finishing techniques including thread trimming, precise folding, and meticulous bagging
- Execute fabric steaming and additional garment care procedures to achieve luxury-level finalization
- Monitor production timelines to ensure punctual delivery of finished pieces
- Identify and report fabric anomalies or construction irregularities to supervisory staff
Qualifications
- Proven professional experience in pressing high-end garments within luxury fashion houses, designer boutiques, or specialized tailoring ateliers
- Mastery of industrial and specialized pressing equipment and steam technology
- Exceptional manual dexterity, precision, and meticulous attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to perform under production pressure while maintaining quality consistency
- Strong observational skills to identify and flag textile or construction defects
- Flexibility to accommodate potential travel assignments
