Dolce&Gabbana seeks an Assistant Buyer to support seasonal assortment selection and in-season product management across North America, partnering with merchandising, planning, allocation, retail, wholesale, marketing, and HQ teams. The role monitors product performance, supports store partnerships and market research, and prepares business analyses; compensation is $55,000–$65,000 annually, with eligibility for variable commission.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Participate in seasonal buying sessions and support the selection of styles, quantities, and assortments.
  • Assist with buying tools, order entry, line sheets, and assortment recaps.
  • Provide regional insights based on client trends, store feedback, and historical performance.
  • Ensure product and pricing information is accurate across buying documents.
  • Monitor weekly product performance, including sales, margin, and sell-through.
  • Recommend reorders, replenishment, transfers, or consolidations based on performance and stock levels.
  • Track deliveries, delays, and product availability with Allocation and Supply Chain.
  • Serve as a point of contact for stores on product knowledge, assortment priorities, and in-season direction.
  • Support product storytelling, training resources, and selling strategies for key categories.
  • Manage sample needs for meetings, training, photoshoots, and events.
  • Track fashion trends, competitive assortments, and client preferences to inform seasonal buys and in-season decisions.
  • Share insights with cross-functional teams to support product strategy and regional relevance.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance recaps highlighting category wins, risks, and opportunities.
  • Analyze KPIs including sales, sell-through, weeks of supply, and inventory health.
  • Support end-of-season recaps and post-mortem analysis.
  • Partner with Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, Retail Operations, Wholesale, Marketing, and HQ teams.
  • Support buying meetings, collection reviews, and product approvals.
  • Ensure alignment across teams on product priorities, timing, and strategy.

Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of experience in Merchandising, Buying, or Planning within luxury or premium fashion.
  • Strong analytical ability, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with merchandising and buying systems.
  • Solid understanding of the product lifecycle, retail KPIs, and fashion trends.
  • Excellent communication and partnership skills.
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to balance creativity with commercial objectives.
