Diptyque seeks a Visual Merchandising Project Manager in Paris, France to lead VM strategy and retail openings across Europe and the USA.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate international store opening and renovation projects, ensuring visual merchandising integration from design phase through execution
  • Collaborate closely with Architecture teams and regional stakeholders during planning phases to incorporate specific VM requirements and standards
  • Review architectural plans and specifications for compliance with established visual merchandising standards and brand guidelines
  • Supervise the creation of planograms for each new retail location according to product assortment and store typology
  • Actively participate in store openings on-site or remotely, overseeing implementation and quality control
  • Organize and coordinate photo shoots for new boutiques, manage retouching workflows, and distribute imagery internally
  • Develop and distribute store opening guides containing key information for relevant teams
  • Contribute to the development of new permanent VM tools that optimize product presentation and support the sales ceremony
  • Track tool development in collaboration with Procurement teams to ensure effective implementation
  • Design and disseminate permanent merchandising information and support materials
  • Define permanent merchandising rules and develop comprehensive associated guidelines
  • Coordinate with headquarters on annual assortment updates aligned with brand strategy and store typologies
  • Participate in the launch of new planogram tools (IWD) to enhance operational efficiency and market flexibility
  • Lead and train the merchandiser network, emphasizing the mission and value of visual merchandising excellence
  • Manage and execute special projects including window displays, events, and showroom implementations

Qualifications

  • Degree in business administration, merchandising, luxury retail (IFM), or interior design/architecture
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a similar visual merchandising or retail project management role
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign), Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Fluent English proficiency, both written and oral
  • Demonstrated creativity with strong eye for visual presentation and aesthetic detail
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with results-oriented mindset
  • Proven ability to work effectively in multicultural and international environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building capacity with cross-functional teams
