Diptyque seeks a Sales Performance & Assortment Manager in Paris to optimize commercial performance and product strategy across retail and wholesale channels.
Role & Responsibilities
- Monitor and drive retail and wholesale sales performance indicators versus budget, recommending corrective action plans as needed
- Analyze and consolidate commercial performance by region, market, channel, customer, category, and product with focus on Like-for-Like growth and business development opportunities
- Define and track retail KPIs at market and store level to optimize sales, store productivity, conversion rates, and customer retention
- Develop and enhance performance dashboards and reporting tools in partnership with the Data team to provide actionable insights to operational teams and leadership
- Identify revenue and market share growth opportunities by channel and geography
- Support implementation of action plans for underperforming stores including optimization, restructuring, and closure decisions
- Identify sales process inefficiencies and partner closely with Sales Operations to enhance operational procedures and promote best practices
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment between commercial objectives and operational execution
- Foster a data-driven culture and contribute to the company's data transformation initiatives
- Define assortment strategy in alignment with brand strategy, customer needs, and commercial priorities
- Develop assortment frameworks and recommendations by store format, channel, geography, and seasonality to optimize product mix, category performance, and customer experience
- Partner with internal Retail and Key Account stakeholders to adapt, validate, and deploy assortments while maintaining local relevance and brand consistency
- Analyze and monitor assortment performance by channel, market, format, category, and SKU to identify optimization, rationalization, and expansion opportunities
- Support assortment reviews to enhance productivity, product rotation, and stock efficiency
- Optimize new product launch performance and maximize sell-out, adoption, and ROI
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain and Demand Planning to improve product availability, reduce out-of-stock situations, and strengthen forecast reliability
- Collect and integrate qualitative feedback from internal teams including local sales, Brand, Visual Merchandising, and Supply Chain to continuously improve assortment relevance and effectiveness
- Partner with Visual Merchandising teams to ensure alignment between assortment strategy, space allocation, and in-store execution
- Guarantee assortment consistency across retail, wholesale, and e-commerce distribution channels
- Develop and maintain assortment performance tools, dashboards, and reporting systems to support data-driven decision-making
- Benchmark market trends, competitor assortments, and consumer purchasing behaviors to identify opportunities and inform future recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Commerce, Management, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in retail, merchandising, category management, or distribution, ideally in an international luxury or premium environment
- Strong expertise in assortment management and merchandising with solid understanding of retail, wholesale, and omnichannel business models
- Demonstrated field experience in retail operations
- Proven capability to drive strategic and operational projects by translating business objectives and market insights into concrete commercial and assortment action plans
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to transform complex data into clear recommendations and business actions
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and performance management and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent
- Strong results orientation, developed business acumen, and focus on commercial performance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
- Excellent relationship and communication skills
- Ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively in multicultural and cross-functional organizations

Education
