The Packaging Development Assistant supports the reliability and maintenance of technical packaging data for Diptyque’s Home Fragrance line, working within Operations and the Packaging Development team. The six-month internship starts in March 2027.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Draft and update technical specifications (AC/PF) for packaging components and finished products to ensure the reliability of technical data.
  • Assess environmental impacts (LCA) using the designated tool and propose areas for improvement.
  • Analyze packaging recyclability using the dedicated tool and recommend eco-design improvements.
  • Optimize logistics packaging.
  • Create and update pallet sheets (palletization plans) for existing products and new developments.
  • Manage packaging reformulations administratively, including updates to internal databases.
  • Establish a physical and digital defect library.
  • Contribute to preparations for the PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation), anticipating and supporting compliance.

Qualifications

  • Engineering school, master's degree in packaging, chemistry, materials, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of cosmetic packaging, eco-design, and regulations is appreciated.
  • Good understanding of industrial processes.
  • Rigor, organization, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Proactive approach and ability to propose practical solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional work with Development, Quality, Regulatory, Purchasing, and Marketing teams.
