Diptyque seeks a Director of FP&A in New York for financial planning, forecasting, and analysis leadership in luxury fragrance retail.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead company financial planning cycles including annual budgeting, monthly closing, and quarterly reforecasting
- Conduct margin and contribution analysis across distribution channels and product categories to inform profitable growth strategy
- Oversee inventory performance metrics and financial optimization across all warehouse and retail locations
- Partner strategically with business leaders on operational expense management, identifying efficiency opportunities and cost reduction initiatives
- Evaluate and oversee capital expenditure projects, tracking performance against business objectives and assessing investment profitability
- Provide comprehensive variance analysis to identify financial risks and opportunities
- Translate strategic business objectives into detailed, realistic annual budgets supported by executable action plans
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators for measuring financial and operational performance
- Lead a team of three FP&A managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and growth mindset
- Build and strengthen cross-functional partnerships across departments and with headquarters in France
- Champion talent development and succession planning within the finance function
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Proven experience as a Director of FP&A or equivalent role in retail luxury or cosmetics industries
- Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Proficiency with financial reporting and analysis tools including Excel and financial planning software
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior executives

Education
