Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise all HSE matters across assigned European territory, ensuring compliance with current and evolving legislation and Group standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
- Identify, assess, and mitigate workplace risks related to health, safety, environment, and security; promote proactive risk management across all sites
- Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and define and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE improvement plans with KPI tracking and performance trend analysis
- Identify mandatory HSE training requirements and develop structured training plans for multicultural teams; foster a safety-first culture
- Plan and conduct site visits, coordinate HSE audits and certification processes, and perform regular inspections with follow-up verification
- Collect and maintain mandatory HSE documentation; establish structured digital archive systems and manage HSE administrative processes
- Prepare HSE reports and dashboards for regional and central stakeholders; report quarterly to the Board on implementation status, key risks, and updates
- Monitor HSE costs and support budget planning and forecasting activities
- Liaise with Facility Management, Retail Operations, HR, Finance, Internal Audit, and Procurement; coordinate external HSE consultants and advisors to ensure alignment with Group standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Safety, Environmental, or Industrial), Occupational Health and Safety, Prevention & Protection, or Environmental Sciences, or equivalent
- Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH/OSHA, RSPP (Italy), or equivalent national certifications
- Strong knowledge of European HSE legislation, risk assessment methodologies, HSE management systems, and audit protocols
- Experience with KPI monitoring and reporting tools
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset with strong organizational and planning skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities; ability to influence without direct authority
- Cultural awareness and adaptability in international, multicultural environments
- Results-driven approach with continuous improvement orientation
Skills
Experience
5+ years of experience in HSE coordination or management; experience in international or multi-site environments is preferred. Candidates with different levels of seniority are welcome to apply.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering (Safety, Environmental, or Industrial), Occupational Health and Safety/Prevention & Protection, Environmental Sciences, or equivalent qualification.
