Diesel (Milan) seeks a Direct Channel Controlling Manager, Europe to lead retail finance, forecasting and performance across European stores.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as senior finance business partner to Retail and cross-functional stakeholders, influencing strategic and operational decisions through fact-based analysis.
- Steer performance monitoring across all retail channels (full price, outlet, concession), identifying risks, opportunities and key variances versus budget and forecast.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for the European retail channel, validating assumptions and consolidating inputs across countries and cost areas.
- Oversee and ensure accuracy, consistency and timeliness of monthly closings and financial data governance in coordination with Global HQ and local entities.
- Own and continuously enhance the retail reporting framework; translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Drive financial evaluation for store openings, relocations and refits to ensure financial considerations are embedded in real estate and retail decisions.
- Lead, coach and develop the EU Retail Controlling team, set priorities and contribute to strategic initiatives at the European level.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years' experience in business controlling with a strong focus on retail finance.
- Proven experience in international, multi-store environments; experience in fashion or luxury retail is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated track record of business partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing cross-functional decisions.
- Solid understanding of retail KPIs, store economics and P&L drivers.
- Experience managing and developing a finance/controlling team.
- Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills; strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability.

Experience
At least 10 years in business/retail controlling within international, multi-store organizations, with proven leadership of finance teams and close partnership with senior retail stakeholders; fashion or luxury sector experience preferred.
Education
Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or similar.
