Role & Responsibilities
- Support the product development cycle for seasonal collections, from concept through to finished sample and production follow-up.
- Assist in preparation and maintenance of technical packs, spec sheets and size/trim breakdowns for leather goods.
- Coordinate sample requests, fittings and revisions between the design studio, internal workshops and external suppliers.
- Track prototype status, update PLM or internal tracking tools and ensure timely circulation of samples and documents.
- Research and source materials, trims and components; prepare material boards and supplier dossiers.
- Participate in quality-control checks on prototypes and production samples, reporting discrepancies and corrective actions.
- Contribute to collection planning tasks, including BOM consolidation, cost tracking support and calendar management.
- Perform administrative tasks required by the product team: sample logging, meeting minutes, and archive upkeep.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, Industrial/Accessory Design, or a related discipline.
- Previous internship or practical exposure to product development, sample rooms or atelier operations preferred.
- Demonstrable interest in luxury leather goods, construction techniques and materials.
- High levels of organisation and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise professionally with internal teams and external suppliers.
Skills
Experience
Internship-level role. Some prior hands-on experience in a fashion/product development environment or sample room is preferred but not mandatory. Demonstrable project or academic work in accessory or product development is advantageous.
Education
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Fashion Design, Product Development, Industrial Design, Accessory Design, or a related field.
