Delvaux is hiring a Chief Financial Officer in Brussels — strategic finance leader to oversee reporting, treasury and growth for the luxury leather goods Maison.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute the financial strategy in alignment with the CEO and executive committee, supporting international growth and brand investment priorities.
- Lead consolidated financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling and long‑range planning.
- Oversee accounting, month‑end and statutory reporting to ensure timely, accurate consolidated accounts under applicable standards (IFRS or local GAAP).
- Manage treasury, cash flow forecasting and working capital optimisation across wholesale, retail and e‑commerce channels.
- Ensure robust internal controls, compliance, tax planning and risk management; drive SOX/ICFR or equivalent control frameworks where applicable.
- Partner with commercial, retail and supply‑chain teams to optimise margin, pricing, inventory and capital expenditure decisions.
- Direct financial systems and transformation initiatives, including ERP/financial systems selection, implementation and data governance.
- Lead, coach and develop the finance organisation; recruit senior finance talent and instill rigorous financial discipline.
- Support corporate development activities including M&A, joint ventures, partnerships and investor reporting as required.
Qualifications
- Proven track record as CFO, Finance Director or equivalent in luxury goods, fashion, premium consumer goods or retail at an international scale.
- Extensive experience of financial reporting, treasury, tax and regulatory compliance in multinational operations.
- Demonstrable experience managing ERP implementations and financial systems (SAP/Oracle or similar).
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) or equivalent university degree in finance/accounting.
- Strong leadership record with experience building high‑performing finance teams and influencing cross‑functional stakeholders.

Experience
Typically 10+ years of progressive finance experience with at least 5 years in senior finance leadership; demonstrable experience in luxury, fashion or premium consumer sectors and managing finance across multiple countries and channels.
Education
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) preferred.
