Role & Responsibilities
- Support the design and technical development of metal hardware (buckles, clasps, chains, fittings) for leather accessories.
- Produce and refine 3D CAD models and technical drawings to specification for prototyping and supplier use.
- Coordinate prototype iterations and sample fittings with internal product teams and external suppliers.
- Document technical specifications, tolerances and finishing requirements for production readiness.
- Contribute to problem solving on manufacturability, cost and assembly while ensuring luxury-quality surface and finish standards.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a programme in industrial design, product design, mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Strong aptitude for 3D modelling and translating aesthetic designs into manufacturable metal hardware.
- Good understanding of technical drawing, tolerances and materials behaviour.
- Proactive, detail oriented and able to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams in a studio environment.
Skills
Experience
Academic experience in product or accessory development with practical exposure to CAD modelling and prototyping; previous internship or hands‑on project work in hardware development or materials engineering is advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
Enrolled in or recently completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial/Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Accessories/Jewellery Design or a closely related field.
