DECIEM, a prestige beauty brand within the Estée Lauder Companies portfolio, seeks a seasonal store associate to deliver an inspirational and personalized in-store experience at its Fifth Avenue location in New York City. This role combines creative and technical expertise with customer engagement to educate and delight shoppers while maintaining exceptional visual merchandising standards and participating in in-store events. The position welcomes candidates with retail sales certification or amateur-level experience who demonstrate strong creative and technical abilities.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide welcoming, inspirational, and personalized in-store customer experiences that educate and delight
• Combine creative and technical expertise to enhance customer engagement and product knowledge
• Collaborate with high-performing store teams to execute in-store events and drive sales impact
• Maintain and elevate visual merchandising standards to differentiate the store from competitors
• Operate retail point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently
• Work flexibly across varying retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and special events

Qualifications

• Ability to demonstrate inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
• Certification or demonstrated experience in retail sales (preferred) or amateur-level experience with strong creative and technical capabilities
• Proficiency with retail point-of-sale software systems
• Ability to work retail hours including evenings, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced environment
• Proof of right to live and work in the United States

Skills

Experience

While certification in retail sales is preferred, candidates with amateur-level experience who can demonstrate a high level of creative and technical expertise are welcome to apply. Previous experience with retail point-of-sale systems is required.

Education

No specific formal education requirement stated; retail sales certification is preferred but not required.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 20 to USD 21 per hour.
