The Ordinary and NIOD seek an on-call freelance Beauty Advisor for retail locations in Odessa, Texas. The role delivers personalized beauty consultations, supports merchandising and promotional events, and maintains product knowledge while collaborating with store teams. The anticipated hourly range is $21.60–$32.40, depending on experience, skills, education, budget, and geographic location.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide personalized, high-quality customer service and beauty consultations to in-store customers.
- Execute visual merchandising displays and maintain presentation standards across the retail floor.
- Support and execute in-store promotional events and product demonstrations to drive customer engagement.
- Maintain active knowledge of brand product offerings, features, and application techniques to educate customers effectively.
- Collaborate with store staff and team members to ensure smooth floor operations and an optimal customer experience during scheduled shifts.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service.
- Availability to work flexible retail hours, including days, nights, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States upon hire or interview.
- Previous retail or beauty industry experience preferred.
- Familiarity with a retail sales environment and customer-facing service execution preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on the retail sales floor, converse with customers, and handle product packaging and display materials.
- Ability to reach, bend, and move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 21.60 to USD 32.40 per hour.
