The Beauty Advisor supports The Ordinary and NIOD at Sephora, delivering personalized beauty consultations, customer education, merchandising, product demonstrations and in-store events to drive engagement and sales. This freelance role is recruited by Randstad Sourceright, with Randstad as the employer of record; the anticipated hourly range is USD 21.60–32.40, depending on factors including experience, skills, education, budget and geographic location.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide personalized, high-quality customer service and beauty consultations to in-store customers.
- Execute visual merchandising displays and maintain presentation standards across the retail floor.
- Support and execute in-store promotional events and product demonstrations to drive customer engagement.
- Maintain active knowledge of brand product offerings, features, and application techniques to educate customers effectively.
- Collaborate with store staff and team members to ensure smooth floor operations and an optimal customer experience during scheduled shifts.
- Drive sales through impactful in-store visits, events, and key focus days.
- Create engaging consumer experiences, support and drive event execution, partner with store teams on brand education, and ensure strong in-store merchandising and visibility.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service.
- Ability to work flexible retail hours, including days, nights, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States upon hire or interview.
- Previous retail or beauty industry experience preferred.
- Familiarity with a retail sales environment and customer-facing service execution preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on the retail sales floor, converse with customers, and handle product packaging and display materials.
- Ability to reach, bend, and move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs.
