DECIEM is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for AVESTAN in New York to support the Store Manager, lead the team, and uphold elevated customer service and store operations. This is a full-time, fixed-term contract ending in November 2027.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in leading and supervising staff across sales, operations, merchandising, and customer experience.
- Motivate, coach, and develop team members to achieve and exceed KPIs and sales targets.
- Assist with daily and monthly sales reporting and revenue tracking.
- Support team recruitment, onboarding, and training in partnership with Recruitment and leadership teams.
- Conduct team briefings, contribute to one-to-one meetings and performance reviews, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
- Support employee relations matters and foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
- Assist with store scheduling, payroll adjustments, attendance systems, and paid time off management.
- Support smooth daily store operations, including inventory management, POS systems, omnichannel services, and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising, health and safety, and operational excellence throughout the store.
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences, support community partnerships and events, and help drive brand engagement.
- Act as Manager on Duty when required.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of retail or customer service experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role, ideally in luxury, fragrance, beauty, fashion, or premium retail.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop a team.
- Strong commercial and numerical skills, with proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise and support daily store operations.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional, personalised client experiences.
