De Beers Group: Finance Manager, Marketing role in London. Provide FP&A support, budgeting, and financial governance to global marketing functions.
Role & Responsibilities
- Coordinate annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities across Category and Brand Marketing teams, ensuring expenditure plans are aligned to available budgets and strategic objectives
- Consolidate global marketing budgets and forecasts across UK, US, China, and India operations, monitoring forecast accuracy and recommending improvements to planning assumptions
- Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting and variance analysis supporting management decision-making and quarterly business reviews
- Maintain reporting dashboards and provide insight into marketing investment KPIs, return on investment metrics, and marketing effectiveness trends
- Act as key finance partner to Category and Brand Marketing leadership, providing financial guidance on investment decisions, resource allocation, and business cases
- Partner with Global Retail Business and Group Tax functions on transfer pricing methodology, intragroup service level agreements, and DBGSS recharge calculations
- Monitor expenditure against approved budgets and investment frameworks, maintaining governance over marketing cost centres, WBS structures, and compliance with finance policies
- Own the monthly DBGSS recharge calculation process, ensuring accuracy, APA compliance, and timely sharing with Group Tax and DBGSS Finance stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement in planning, reporting, and financial governance processes, supporting SAP, OneStream, and other systems enhancement initiatives
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and best practice support to Financial Analysts and junior team members
Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or business partnering roles
- Demonstrated experience supporting senior stakeholders within complex multinational environments, preferably in luxury or retail sectors
- Familiar with global brand marketing operations, return on marketing investment methodologies, and transfer pricing implementation
- Proven ability to interface successfully across multiple organisational levels with excellent communication and senior-level influencing skills
- Strong self-awareness and critical thinking capabilities, demonstrating the ability to influence at executive level
- Ability to adapt to fast-evolving corporate environments, coordinate process changes across multiple stakeholders, and manage competing priorities autonomously
Skills
Experience
Significant post-qualification experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or business partnering roles, preferably within a multinational luxury retail organisation. Experience supporting senior stakeholders in complex corporate environments, implementing transfer pricing methodology, and managing relationships across Tax, Legal, and marketing functions is highly desirable.
Education
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification).
