David Yurman seeks a creative, detail-oriented Men's Jewelry Design Intern for its New York team, supporting research, concept development, presentations, and product development. The paid, 9-week internship runs June 7–August 6, 2027, and offers an estimated pay rate of $25 per hour.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Men's Design team with research, concept development, and preparation of design materials.
- Conduct visual and market research on jewelry, fashion, art, architecture, materials, and cultural trends.
- Create and organize mood boards, inspiration boards, and seasonal design presentations.
- Support designers with hand sketches, technical drawings, and digital renderings as needed.
- Prepare design presentations and materials for internal reviews.
- Organize and maintain design files, reference materials, samples, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Merchandising, and other cross-functional teams throughout the product development process as needed.
- Assist with sample reviews, product photography, and documentation.
- Provide general support to the Men's Design team on ongoing projects and seasonal initiatives.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Jewelry Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in men's jewelry, luxury products, fashion, and design.
- Strong drawing and visual communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Experience with CAD or 3D design software is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced creative environment.
- Curious, proactive, and receptive to feedback.
- A portfolio demonstrating design ability, creative thinking, and a strong aesthetic point of view is preferred.
