Damiani Group is seeking an IT Business Intelligence Specialist to join its IT team in Mendrisio, working with business stakeholders, senior colleagues and external consultants to develop and maintain Microsoft-based reporting and data analytics solutions.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the collection and analysis of information requirements with business stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into Business Intelligence dashboards and reports.
- Design, develop and maintain BI solutions.
- Design and optimise data models, ensuring quality, performance and scalability.
- Integrate data from diverse sources, including databases, ERP, CRM, files and APIs.
- Define KPIs and metrics to support decision-making processes.
- Apply data governance, security and performance best practices.
- Support testing, release and end-user training.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of BI platforms; Microsoft Power BI is preferred.
- Good experience in data modelling.
- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with ETL processes and data preparation.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem, including SQL Server and Azure Data Services, is a plus.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Good written and spoken English.
