Comadur SA seeks Mechanical Workshop Supervisor in Boncourt, Switzerland to lead precision CNC machining and watchmaking tool production.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate a specialized team of precision mechanics and polymechanics, organizing tasks according to production priorities and individual competencies
- Actively participate in and supervise the fabrication, setup, and maintenance of watchmaking tools and high-precision mechanical components
- Program, configure, and oversee CNC 3-axis and 5-axis machining operations, EDM, and grinding processes to ensure optimal performance
- Ensure dimensional compliance through 3D controls and precision measurement instruments, maintaining full traceability and conformity documentation
- Monitor production scheduling, anticipate manufacturing needs, and coordinate priorities with relevant departments to maintain on-time delivery
- Identify and implement technical improvements and process optimizations to enhance efficiency and quality standards
- Manage knowledge transfer, skill development, and competency progression within the team
Qualifications
- Swiss CFC qualification in precision mechanics or polymechanics, or equivalent technical diploma in microtechnology
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in precision machining and tool production
- Demonstrated experience in team leadership and workshop management
- Advanced proficiency with 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining
- Working knowledge of CNC programming and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software
- Practical experience with EDM (Electro-Discharge Machining) processes
- Experience in cylindrical and surface grinding operations
- Competency in dimensional metrology and precision measurement tools
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in precision mechanical production, including demonstrated expertise in CNC machining and proven leadership of manufacturing teams.
Education
Swiss CFC qualification in precision mechanics or polymechanics, or equivalent technical diploma in microtechnology. Federal diploma as a mechanical workshop supervisor is highly desirable. Trainer certification in polymechanics apprenticeship is an asset.
