Coach — Senior Sales Associate (maternity cover) in Edinburgh. Temporary retail role driving in‑store and omni‑channel sales, clienteling and social selling.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver the Coach Experience by consistently achieving individual sales, productivity and service targets across in‑store and omni‑channel channels.
- Model Coach selling behaviours and service standards including virtual selling, social selling and clienteling to convert and retain high‑value customers.
- Manage multiple customer interactions simultaneously while anticipating needs, demonstrating product features and closing sales.
- Act as a visible brand ambassador on the sales floor, maintaining high energy and professional presentation at all times.
- Drive customer data acquisition and enrolment into brand marketing and clienteling programmes to support repeat purchase and loyalty.
- Support and participate in team selling, champion store initiatives and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive team culture.
- Assist with live stream shopping and short‑form social video content, introducing products and demonstrating benefits on camera when required.
- Follow store operational procedures including POS transactions, stock handling, price/release sheet reading and use of store communications (walkie‑talkie).
Qualifications
- Previous retail experience in a luxury or premium brand environment; previous management experience preferred.
- Current knowledge of fashion trends and competitive landscape relevant to Coach product categories.
- Proven ability to meet sales targets and work to performance KPIs in a fast‑paced retail environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage customers and work effectively with colleagues.
- Flexibility to work retail hours including nights, weekends, peak seasons and public holidays.
- Comfortable with moderate physical requirements including stockroom lifting and store climbing.
- Enthusiasm for social selling and digital retail formats; willingness to learn live stream selling techniques.
Skills
Experience
Demonstrable retail sales experience within a luxury or premium environment. Prior experience meeting individual sales targets and supporting team performance; supervisory or management experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
No formal degree required; a combination of relevant education and retail experience will be considered.
