Coach in New York, NY seeks a Sales Support Associate to manage inventory, clienteling and store operations for its luxury retail team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide operational and administrative support to the store sales team, ensuring smooth daily storefront functioning.
- Manage stock processes including receiving, tagging, cycle counts, inventory reconciliation and replenishment.
- Process orders, exchanges and returns accurately and in accordance with brand policy; coordinate with distribution and corporate teams as needed.
- Maintain and update client records; support clienteling activities and follow-up communications to strengthen customer relationships.
- Support visual merchandising standards and store presentation, assisting with product launches and seasonal resets.
- Operate POS and back-office systems to execute transactions, prepare sales reports and reconcile cash.
- Act as liaison between store and regional/corporate departments (logistics, CRM, loss prevention) to resolve operational issues.
- Train and mentor junior support staff on operational procedures, compliance and brand protocols.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in retail operations or sales support; experience in luxury or premium retail strongly preferred.
- Proven accuracy in inventory control, cash handling and order fulfilment processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; professional client-facing demeanour.
- Strong organisational aptitude with the ability to prioritise competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work retail hours including weekends, evenings and peak seasonal periods.
- Ability to lift and move stock (up to standard retail weight requirements) and perform physical store tasks.
