Coach is hiring a Sales Support Associate in New York, NY to support store operations, inventory and client service for its retail team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to store leadership, enabling smooth retail execution and sales performance.
- Process incoming and outgoing merchandise: receive shipments, perform quality checks, log inventory, and coordinate stock moves with distribution and stores.
- Support point-of-sale operations including transaction support, refunds/exchanges processing, and accurate cash handling according to company procedures.
- Maintain stockroom organization, execute inventory cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and prepare replenishment to sales floor.
- Assist with merchandising and visual standards on the sales floor, implementing floor sets and product displays to maintain brand presentation.
- Support clienteling activities: prepare client appointments, follow up on enquiries, and assist with client communication and after-sales service.
- Generate and maintain operational reports (sales, inventory, returns) and contribute to ad hoc analyses requested by store or district management.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams (visual merchandising, inventory control, loss prevention, distribution) to resolve operational issues and implement process improvements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong customer-service orientation with excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven attention to detail and accuracy in inventory handling, cash procedures, and data entry.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment and to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Discretion and professionalism when handling client information and high-value merchandise.
