Coach Sales Support Associate position in Laval, Quebec. Part-time retail role combining customer service and store operations at Carrefour Laval.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist clients with warmth and professionalism, anticipating needs and providing personalized product recommendations
- Operate point-of-sale systems accurately, maintain cash wrap organization, and handle cash and payment media in strict compliance with company policy
- Suggest add-on products, promote gift cards, and capture customer information where permitted
- Receive, process, and organize merchandise shipments and store transfers; report discrepancies and maintain stockroom cleanliness
- Manage inventory levels, replenish sales floor merchandise, and execute visual merchandising updates as directed
- Support sales floor activities, respond to customer inquiries with confidence, and partner with team members or management as needed
- Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the store and adhere strictly to loss prevention guidelines
- Serve as a brand ambassador internally and in the local community; support social media engagement initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of previous retail experience, including cashier, stock, or sales roles, preferably in a luxury retail service environment
- Current knowledge of fashion trends and competitive market landscape
- Proficiency with cash register systems and basic computer skills, including iPad, laptop, mobile POS systems, and internet applications
- Ability to operate walkie-talkies and interpret price and product release sheets
- Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Physical capacity to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver sales floor and stockroom areas
Skills
Experience
Minimum one year of retail experience, preferably in luxury retail or customer-facing sales roles. Experience with cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising strongly preferred. A combination of relevant education and hands-on retail experience will be considered.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional retail or customer service training is a plus.
Workplace
This position is based in Laval, Quebec, Canada, within easy reach of Montreal.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 17.60 to CAD 22 per hour.
