Coach seeks a Sales Associate to serve as a brand ambassador in our retail environment. The role requires delivering personalized shopping experiences, meeting sales targets, and supporting daily store operations through omni-channel selling, client relationship building, and team collaboration. The position blends luxury retail service with operational excellence, including POS systems, mobile technology, inventory management, and customer engagement across traditional and digital platforms.
Role & Responsibilities
- Represent Coach as a brand ambassador, adhering to brand service standards and the Coach Guide to Style
- Build and maintain lasting client relationships through personalized styling advice, product expertise, and fashion consultation
- Drive sales through strategic cross-selling, upselling, and tailored product recommendations
- Utilize mobile POS systems, clienteling tools, and social selling platforms to capture customer data and encourage repeat purchases
- Develop and execute personal sales plans to meet or exceed individual and team KPIs
- Source new customers, maintain relationships, and execute follow-up strategies to close sales
- Maintain high-energy floor presence, manage multiple customers simultaneously, and adapt selling techniques to business requirements
- Execute daily operational tasks including cash wrap, inventory processing, replenishment, and visual merchandising while maintaining service standards
- Maintain clean and organized sales floor and stockroom; follow retail policies, POS procedures, and asset protection protocols
- Process transactions efficiently including purchases, returns, exchanges, and online order pickups
- Support inventory cycles including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and managing product movement
- Assist teammates across functional areas as required
- Foster a collaborative, trust-based team environment and support collective performance objectives
- Participate in brand initiatives, training programs, and inclusion activities
- Welcome feedback, adapt behaviors accordingly, and maintain composure in dynamic retail settings
Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ years of sales experience, preferably in luxury retail
- Strong knowledge of fashion trends and competitive landscape
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer skills (iPad, laptop, Mobile POS)
- Ability to read and interpret price sheets and product release information
- Strong English language proficiency
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to climb, bend, kneel, and navigate sales floor and stockroom environments
Skills
Experience
Minimum 1+ years of sales experience in retail environments, with preference for luxury retail background. Familiarity with POS operation, basic computer proficiency, and experience with social selling or digital retail tools valued.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; a combination of relevant education and sales experience will be considered.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Simpsonville, Kentucky, USA, with easy access to Louisville.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
