Coach is hiring a part-time Sales Associate in San Diego (Fashion Valley) to deliver luxury, omni‑channel retail service and clienteling.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the front-line ambassador of the Coach brand, delivering elevated, personalised luxury service in accordance with Coach Guide to Style and Service standards.
  • Build and cultivate lasting client relationships through personalised styling, product expertise and proactive follow-up to drive repeat business and loyalty.
  • Drive sales performance through cross-selling, upselling and tailored product recommendations; develop and execute personal sales plans to meet individual and store KPIs.
  • Sell across channels using mobile POS, clienteling tools and social selling (including short-form video), capturing client data to support future outreach and omni-channel conversion.
  • Execute daily store operations: process transactions (purchases, returns, exchanges, online pickups), receive and replenish inventory, maintain visual merchandising and ensure sales floor and stockroom organisation.
  • Support inventory cycles and asset protection procedures; accurately process shipments and participate in inventory counts.
  • Maintain high energy on the floor, manage multiple clients simultaneously and adapt selling techniques to changing business needs.
  • Participate in brand initiatives, training programs and inclusion activities; foster a collaborative, trust-based team environment and welcome feedback to refine performance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience; luxury retail experience preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Proficiency with POS operation and basic computer devices (iPad/laptop); experience with mobile POS and clienteling tools preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including nights, weekends, peak season and public holidays.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally; able to climb, bend, kneel and manoeuvre within sales floor and stockroom environments.
  • Strong English language proficiency.

Experience

Minimum of one year of sales experience, with preference for candidates who have previously worked in luxury retail or who have demonstrable clienteling and omni-channel selling experience.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 24.25 per hour.
