Coach in Riverhead, NY is hiring a part‑time Sales Associate (Temporary) to deliver luxury retail service and omnichannel selling.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as the front‑line ambassador for the brand, consistently delivering Coach Guide to Style and Service standards.
- Develop lasting client relationships through personalized styling, product expertise, and proactive follow‑up to drive repeat business.
- Achieve individual and store sales targets via cross‑selling, upselling and tailored recommendations.
- Use mobile POS, clienteling tools and social selling channels (including short‑form video) to capture customer data and close sales.
- Execute daily store operations: process transactions, manage online order pickups, handle returns/exchanges and operate POS systems.
- Support stockroom and inventory activities: receive shipments, replenish merchandise, participate in inventory cycles and maintain visual merchandising standards.
- Maintain a high‑energy sales floor, manage multiple customers simultaneously, and adapt selling techniques to business needs.
- Follow retail policies and asset‑protection procedures to keep the sales floor and stockroom clean, organized and compliant.
- Participate in brand initiatives, training programs and inclusion activities; welcome feedback and demonstrate professional composure.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of sales experience; luxury retail experience preferred.
- Proficiency with POS operation (mobile POS, iPad/laptop) and basic retail technology.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), as well as climb, bend, kneel and maneuver in a retail environment.
- Strong English verbal communication skills.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak season and public holidays.
Skills
Experience
At least 1 year of sales experience; prior luxury or premium retail experience is preferred. Experience with omnichannel retailing, clienteling and social/live selling is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; retail, fashion or customer‑service training preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 24.25 per hour.
