Coach seeks a Temporary Sales Associate to serve as a front-line brand ambassador at its Rehoboth Beach, Delaware location. This part-time role delivers elevated, personalized shopping experiences while meeting sales goals and supporting daily store operations. The position blends luxury-retail service, omni-channel selling, and team collaboration to drive brand loyalty and revenue through personalized styling, mobile POS proficiency, and customer relationship building.
Role & Responsibilities
- Represent Coach as a brand ambassador, adhering to Coach Guide to Style and Service standards
- Build lasting client relationships through personalized styling, product expertise, and fashion advice
- Drive sales through cross-selling, upselling, and tailored recommendations
- Utilize mobile POS, clienteling tools, and social selling platforms to capture customer data and encourage repeat purchases
- Develop and execute personal sales plans; meet or exceed individual and team KPIs
- Source new customers, maintain relationships, and follow up to close sales
- Maintain high energy on the sales floor, manage multiple customers simultaneously, and adapt selling techniques to business needs
- Complete daily operational tasks including cash wrap, inventory processing, replenishment, and visual merchandising while maintaining service standards
- Keep sales floor and stockroom clean, organized, and properly stocked; follow retail policies, POS procedures, and asset protection protocols
- Process transactions efficiently, including purchases, returns, exchanges, and online order pickups
- Support inventory cycles by receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and managing product movement
- Assist teammates across functional areas as required
- Foster a collaborative, trust-based team environment and encourage peer performance
- Participate in brand initiatives, training programs, and inclusion activities
- Welcome constructive feedback, adapt behaviors, and maintain professional demeanor in high-pressure situations
Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ years of sales experience, preferably in luxury retail
- Knowledge of current fashion trends and competitive landscape
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer literacy (iPad, laptop, mobile POS)
- Ability to operate two-way communication devices and read price and release sheets
- Strong English language proficiency
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, peak seasons, and public holidays
- Physical capability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally, as well as climb, bend, kneel, and navigate sales floor and stockroom
Skills
Experience
Minimum 1 year of sales experience, with preference for background in luxury retail environments. Demonstrated knowledge of fashion trends and competitive analysis is valued. A combination of formal education and relevant sales experience will be considered equivalent to stated requirements.
Education
No formal education requirement specified; however, a high school diploma or equivalent is typically expected for retail sales positions. Formal education requirements may be waived in favor of demonstrated retail or sales experience.
