Role & Responsibilities
- Represent Coach as a brand ambassador, adhering to the Coach Guide to Style and Service standards and delivering elevated, personalized shopping experiences
- Build lasting client relationships through expert product knowledge, personalized styling recommendations, and fashion advice tailored to customer preferences
- Drive sales through strategic cross-selling, upselling, and tailored product recommendations that align with client needs
- Utilize mobile POS, clienteling tools, and social selling platforms—including short-form video content—to capture customer data and encourage repeat purchases
- Develop and execute personal sales plans; meet or exceed individual and store key performance indicators
- Source new customers, maintain active client relationships, and execute follow-up strategies to close sales and foster loyalty
- Maintain high energy and engagement on the sales floor, manage multiple customer interactions simultaneously, and adapt selling techniques to evolving business needs
- Execute daily operational tasks including cash wrap transactions, inventory processing, replenishment, and visual merchandising while maintaining service excellence
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor and stockroom environments; adhere to retail policies, POS procedures, and asset protection protocols
- Process retail transactions efficiently—including purchases, returns, exchanges, and online order pickups
- Support inventory cycles by receiving shipments, stocking merchandise, and managing product movement according to store standards
- Assist teammates across functional areas as needed to support store operations and team goals
- Foster a collaborative, trust-based team environment and actively encourage peer performance and engagement
- Participate in brand initiatives, training programs, and inclusion activities organized by Coach and Tapestry
- Receive feedback constructively, adapt behaviors accordingly, and maintain calm, professional demeanor in all interactions
Qualifications
- 1+ years of sales experience, with luxury retail background preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of fashion trends and competitive retail landscape
- Proven proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and mobile POS platforms
- Strong computer proficiency including iPad, laptop, and mobile device operation
- Familiarity with walkie-talkie use and ability to read price sheets and product release materials
- Strong English language proficiency
- Physical ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally; capability to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver throughout sales floor and stockroom
Skills
Experience
1+ years of sales experience in retail, with luxury retail background preferred. Candidates with a combination of relevant education and retail experience will be considered.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; candidates with relevant retail or customer service certifications will be considered.
