Coach Sales Associate III, Palo Alto, CA: deliver luxury retail experiences and drive sales through client relationships, omni-channel selling, and personal achievement.
Role & Responsibilities
- Represent Coach as a brand ambassador, adhering to the Coach Guide to Style and Service standards
- Build and cultivate lasting client relationships through personalized styling, comprehensive product expertise, and tailored fashion advice
- Drive sales revenue through strategic cross-selling, upselling, and personalized product recommendations
- Utilize mobile POS systems, clienteling tools, and social selling platforms—including short-form video—to capture customer data and encourage repeat purchases
- Develop and execute personal sales plans while consistently meeting or exceeding individual and team KPIs
- Source new customers, maintain existing client relationships, and execute systematic follow-up protocols to close sales
- Maintain high-energy floor presence, manage multiple customers simultaneously, and adapt selling techniques to evolving business needs
- Execute daily operational tasks including cash wrap responsibilities, inventory processing, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising while upholding service standards
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floor and stockroom environments; adhere to retail policies, POS procedures, and asset protection protocols
- Process transactions efficiently across multiple formats: purchases, returns, exchanges, and online order fulfillment
- Support inventory cycles including shipment receipt, shelf stocking, and product movement management
- Provide collaborative support to teammates across functional areas as needed
- Foster a collaborative, trust-based team environment and actively encourage peer performance
- Participate in brand initiatives, training programs, and diversity and inclusion activities
- Demonstrate responsiveness to feedback, behavioral adaptability, and professional composure under pressure
Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ years of retail sales experience; luxury retail background strongly preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems, basic computer literacy (iPad, laptop, Mobile POS), walkie-talkie operation, and ability to interpret price and release documentation
- Strong English language proficiency
- Experience with live-stream shopping, video demonstrations, clienteling platforms, and customer data acquisition techniques (preferred)
- Physical capability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), plus ability to climb, bend, kneel, and navigate sales floor and stockroom environments
- Demonstrated knowledge of current fashion trends and competitive landscape
Skills
Experience
1+ years of sales experience in retail; luxury retail background strongly preferred. Knowledge of fashion trends and competitor offerings required. Combination of relevant education and progressive retail experience will be considered.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; additional retail or fashion coursework preferred but not required.
