Coach Sales Associate position at Charleston Outlets. Deliver luxury retail service, build client relationships, and drive sales in North Charleston, South Carolina.
Role & Responsibilities
- Represent Coach as a brand ambassador, adhering to the Coach Guide to Style and Service standards and maintaining elevated personal presentation
- Build lasting client relationships through personalized styling advice, product expertise, and fashion consultation tailored to individual customer preferences
- Drive sales through strategic cross-selling, upselling, and targeted product recommendations based on customer needs and preferences
- Utilize mobile POS systems, clienteling tools, and social selling platforms—including short-form video content—to capture customer data and encourage repeat purchases
- Develop and execute personal sales plans; consistently meet or exceed individual and team key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Source new customers, maintain comprehensive relationship records, and execute systematic follow-up protocols to close sales and build clientele
- Maintain high floor presence during peak and off-peak periods, manage multiple simultaneous customer interactions, and adapt selling techniques to evolving business requirements
- Complete daily operational tasks including cash wrap procedures, inventory processing, merchandise replenishment, and visual merchandising while upholding service standards
- Maintain sales floor and stockroom organization, cleanliness, and inventory levels; adhere strictly to retail policies, POS protocols, and asset protection procedures
- Process transactions efficiently and accurately, including purchases, returns, exchanges, and online order pickups
- Support inventory management cycles: receive and process shipments, stock merchandise strategically, and manage product movement according to planogram guidelines
- Assist teammates across functional areas as needed to ensure seamless store operations and customer service continuity
- Foster a collaborative, trust-based team environment through positive communication and encouragement of peer performance
- Participate actively in brand initiatives, training programs, and diversity and inclusion activities organized by Tapestry
- Welcome constructive feedback, demonstrate adaptability to changing priorities, and maintain professional composure in high-pressure retail situations
Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ years of sales experience, preferably in luxury retail environments
- Demonstrated knowledge of fashion trends, competitive landscape, and consumer preferences
- Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and mobile platforms
- Basic computer literacy with iPad, laptop, and mobile POS applications
- Familiarity with walkie-talkie communication devices and ability to read price sheets and product release documentation
- Strong English language proficiency
- Physical capability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, including standing for extended periods and managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Preferred: luxury retail background with proven sales success
- Preferred: social media expertise and experience with live-stream shopping platforms or video product demonstrations
- Preferred: demonstrated proficiency in clienteling practices and customer data acquisition techniques
Skills
Experience
Minimum 1+ years of sales experience, preferably in luxury retail, with demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and deliver personalized customer service. Experience with POS systems, mobile technology, and omni-channel retail environments is essential. A combination of retail education and hands-on sales experience will be considered.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; further education or retail certification programs are not required but may be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be located in North Charleston, South Carolina, USA, with easy access to Charleston.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
