Coach is hiring a part‑time Sales Associate in Norfolk, VA — deliver personalised luxury service and sell across mobile POS and social channels.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as the on‑floor ambassador for Coach, consistently delivering the Coach Guide to Style and Service standards and an elevated, personalised client experience.
- Cultivate lasting client relationships through styling advice, product knowledge and proactive follow‑up to drive repeat business and brand loyalty.
- Achieve personal and store sales targets through cross‑selling, upselling and the execution of individual sales plans and KPIs.
- Utilise mobile POS, clienteling tools and social selling (including short‑form video) to capture customer data, close sales and facilitate omni‑channel transactions.
- Execute daily operational duties including cash wrap, inventory processing, replenishment, basic visual merchandising and online order fulfilment (returns, exchanges, curbside/online pickup).
- Support inventory cycles: receive shipments, stock merchandise and manage product flow between sales floor and stockroom while maintaining presentation standards.
- Maintain a high level of energy on the sales floor, manage multiple customers simultaneously and adapt selling techniques to shifting business needs.
- Adhere to retail policies and asset‑protection procedures and contribute to a collaborative, trust‑based team environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1+ years of sales experience; luxury retail experience strongly preferred.
- Proven proficiency operating POS systems and mobile POS devices (iPad/laptop); comfortable using walkie‑talkies and reading price/release sheets.
- Strong English language proficiency required.
- Social media savvy with experience in social selling, short‑form video or live‑stream shopping preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak retail periods and public holidays.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and to climb, bend, kneel and manoeuvre within sales floor and stockroom environments.
Skills
Experience
At least one year of customer‑facing sales experience, with preference given to candidates with luxury or premium retail background and demonstrated results against sales KPIs.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; additional retail, fashion or merchandising coursework preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
