Coach seeks a temporary Sales Associate in New York's Soho location to deliver luxury retail service and drive sales through personalized client engagement and omni-channel expertise.
Role & Responsibilities
- Represent Coach as a brand ambassador, adhering to the Coach Guide to Style and Service standards
- Build lasting client relationships through personalized styling, product expertise, and tailored fashion advice
- Drive sales through strategic cross-selling, upselling, and personalized product recommendations
- Utilize mobile POS, clienteling tools, and social selling platforms—including short-form video content—to capture customer data and encourage repeat purchases
- Develop and execute personal sales plans; consistently meet or exceed individual and team KPIs
- Source new customers, maintain ongoing relationships, and execute follow-up protocols to close sales
- Maintain high energy and adaptability on the sales floor while managing multiple customers simultaneously
- Complete daily operational tasks including cash wrap, inventory processing, merchandise replenishment, and visual merchandising maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floor and stockroom while adhering to retail policies, POS procedures, and asset protection protocols
- Process transactions efficiently, including purchases, returns, exchanges, and online order pickups
- Support inventory cycles by receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and managing product movement
- Assist teammates across functional areas as required
- Foster a collaborative, trust-based team environment and encourage collective performance
- Participate actively in brand initiatives, training programs, and inclusion activities
- Demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and composure in response to feedback and operational changes
Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ years of sales experience, preferably in luxury retail
- Knowledge of fashion trends and competitive landscape
- Experience with point-of-sale systems and mobile POS technology
- Proficiency with basic computer systems including iPad and laptop navigation
- Fluent English language proficiency
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak seasons, and public holidays
- Physical capability to lift at least 25 lbs. regularly (up to 50 lbs. occasionally), and to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver throughout sales floor and stockroom environments
Skills
Experience
Minimum 1+ years of sales experience, with luxury retail background preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of fashion trends and competitor offerings is essential. Experience with live-stream shopping, video content creation, clienteling, and customer data acquisition is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; a combination of relevant sales experience and education will be considered.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 24.25 per hour.
