Coach is hiring a Sales Associate in New York, NY — experienced luxury retail salesperson focused on clientelling and achieving store sales targets.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver an elevated, personalized shopping experience through expert clientelling and relationship building to drive repeat business.
- Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets through consultative selling and proactive outreach.
- Maintain deep product knowledge across leather goods, accessories and seasonal collections and communicate brand heritage with confidence.
- Operate point-of-sale systems, process transactions, manage returns and ensure accurate cash handling and reconciliation.
- Execute visual merchandising directives and maintain boutique presentation standards to brand guidelines.
- Support inventory control: receive, tag and replenish merchandise; assist with stock counts and loss-prevention protocols.
- Participate in store events, private client appointments and launch activities to cultivate high-value clientele.
- Complete required training, contribute to team briefings and share market/customer intelligence with management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in retail, preferably within luxury, premium fashion or leather goods.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing repeat clientele.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holiday periods.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (if hired in the U.S.).
Skills
Experience
At least 2 years of direct retail sales experience, with preference for candidates from luxury or premium fashion brands and documented success in client development and sales performance.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in retail, business or fashion is advantageous but not required.
