Coach seeks a Sales Associate in New York to drive luxury retail sales and deliver exceptional client service.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised, high-touch client service and build long-term client relationships through proactive clienteling and follow-up.
- Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets through consultative selling and effective cross-selling of product categories.
- Maintain expert product knowledge across leather goods, ready-to-wear and accessories and communicate product features and heritage to clients.
- Execute visual merchandising standards, support floor moves and ensure the boutique reflects the brand aesthetic at all times.
- Operate the point-of-sale system, process transactions accurately and perform routine cash handling and reconciliation.
- Support inventory control activities including stock replenishment, receiving, cycle counts and loss-prevention procedures.
- Contribute to store-level projects, servicing, and occasional pop-up or trunk show events; mentor more junior team members when required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years retail sales experience; experience within luxury fashion or leather goods strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a retail environment.
- Impeccable grooming and professional presentation consistent with a luxury boutique setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage client expectations and close sales.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and holiday periods.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Skills
Experience
At least 2 years of hands-on retail sales experience, preferably within luxury fashion or premium accessories, with demonstrated success against sales KPIs and experience in client relationship management.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework in fashion, retail or business is an asset.
