Coach in Santa Barbara, CA is hiring a Sales Associate II to support store operations, POS transactions and elevated client service.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional, personalized customer service at the cash wrap and on the sales floor, anticipating client needs and creating lasting impressions.
  • Operate POS and cash register systems accurately; maintain an organized cash wrap and handle cash/media in accordance with company policy.
  • Receive, process, and reconcile shipments and transfers; report inventory discrepancies and maintain stockroom organization and cleanliness.
  • Manage stock levels, replenish merchandise on the sales floor, and execute visual merchandising directives and updates.
  • Support floor sales activities, confidently respond to customer requests, suggest add-on products and promote gift cards; capture customer information where permitted.
  • Uphold housekeeping standards and Loss Prevention guidelines; perform physical tasks including lifting, bending and merchandising.
  • Act as a brand ambassador in-store and locally, supporting social media engagement and representing Coach’s values.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of retail experience (cashiering, stock, or sales); luxury retail experience preferred.
  • Current awareness of fashion trends and competitive marketplace activity.
  • Proficiency with cash register systems and basic computer devices including iPad, laptop and Mobile POS; ability to use walkie talkie and read price/product release sheets.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational capability and ability to multitask in a high‑volume environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills; strong English language proficiency.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak seasons and public holidays.
  • Ability to lift regularly at least 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs), and to climb, bend and kneel as required.

Experience

At least one year of prior retail experience is required; experience within a luxury retail environment is preferred. A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 21.75 per hour.
