Coach is seeking a part-time Temporary Sales Associate in Houston, Texas, to deliver personalized luxury-retail service, build client relationships, achieve sales goals, and support daily store operations. The role includes omnichannel selling, clienteling, transactions, inventory support, and flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, peak season, and public holidays.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Represent Coach as a brand ambassador, following the Coach Guide to Style and Service standards.
  • Build lasting client relationships through personalized styling, product expertise, and fashion advice.
  • Drive sales through cross-selling, upselling, and tailored recommendations.
  • Use mobile POS, clienteling tools, and social selling platforms, including short-form video, to capture client data and encourage repeat purchases.
  • Develop and execute personal sales plans, meeting or exceeding individual and team KPIs.
  • Source new customers, maintain relationships, and follow up to close sales.
  • Maintain high energy on the sales floor, manage multiple customers, and adapt selling techniques to business needs.
  • Complete daily operational tasks, including cash wrap, inventory processing, replenishment, and visual merchandising, while maintaining service standards.
  • Keep the sales floor and stockroom clean, organized, and stocked; follow retail policies, POS procedures, and asset protection procedures.
  • Process purchases, returns, exchanges, and online pickups efficiently.
  • Support inventory cycles by receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and managing product movement.
  • Assist teammates in functional areas as required.
  • Foster a collaborative, trust-based environment and encourage team performance.
  • Participate in brand initiatives, training programs, and inclusion activities.
  • Welcome feedback, adapt behaviors, and maintain a calm, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of sales experience; luxury retail experience is preferred. Knowledge of fashion trends and competitors is required. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience operating POS systems; basic computer proficiency using an iPad, laptop, or Mobile POS; ability to use a walkie-talkie and read price/release sheets.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and lift 25 lb regularly and up to 50 lb occasionally; ability to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom.
  • Strong English proficiency.
  • Preferred: luxury retail background, social media savvy, experience with live-stream shopping or video demonstrations, clienteling, and data acquisition skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including nights, weekends, peak busy season, high-traffic retail days, and public holidays.
