Coach seeks a Temporary Sales Associate in Gilroy, CA — part-time retail role delivering personalized luxury service.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as a frontline ambassador for Coach, delivering elevated, personalized luxury service in accordance with Coach style and service standards.
- Build and maintain lasting client relationships through expert styling, product knowledge, and tailored recommendations to drive loyalty and repeat business.
- Drive sales by cross-selling, upselling and executing personal sales plans to meet or exceed individual and store KPIs.
- Leverage Mobile POS, clienteling tools and social selling channels (including short-form video and live-stream shopping) to capture customer data and convert sales.
- Source new customers, follow up on leads, and close transactions including purchases, returns, exchanges and online order pickups.
- Execute daily store operations: cash wrap, inventory processing, replenishment, visual merchandising and asset-protection procedures.
- Support inventory cycles by receiving shipments, stocking merchandise and managing product flow between sales floor and stockroom.
- Maintain a high-energy sales floor presence, manage multiple customers, and adapt selling techniques to shifting business needs.
- Participate in brand initiatives, training programs and inclusion activities; accept feedback and demonstrate professional composure.
- Assist teammates in functional areas as required and contribute to a collaborative, trust-based team environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1+ years of sales experience; luxury retail experience strongly preferred; combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Proven POS operation experience and comfort using iPad/laptop Mobile POS systems; ability to read price and release sheets.
- Familiarity with clienteling tools, social selling platforms, short-form video and live-stream shopping; data acquisition skills preferred.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak seasons and public holidays.
- Ability to lift regularly at least 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs), and to bend, kneel and maneuver within a sales floor and stockroom environment.

At least 1 year of sales experience is required; prior experience in luxury or fashion retail and demonstrated achievement against sales targets is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; retail, fashion or customer service training is an asset; combination of education and practical experience accepted.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 24.25 per hour.
