Coach in Garden City, NY seeks a part-time Sales Associate to deliver luxury retail service, omni-channel selling and clienteling.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as the front-line ambassador for the Coach brand, delivering elevated, personalised customer service and adhering to Coach Guide to Style and Service standards.
- Develop and maintain lasting client relationships through personalised styling, product expertise and proactive follow-up to drive repeat purchases and loyalty.
- Drive sales performance through cross-selling, upselling and tailored recommendations; develop and execute personal sales plans to meet individual and store KPIs.
- Sell across channels using mobile POS, clienteling tools and social selling (including short-form video); capture client data and manage online order fulfilment (pick-up, returns, exchanges).
- Perform daily store operations: cash wrap, inventory receiving and processing, replenishment, visual merchandising and asset-protection procedures.
- Maintain floor and stockroom presentation and organisation; support inventory cycles and participate in loss-prevention and POS processes.
- Support teammates across functional areas, foster a collaborative environment and participate in brand initiatives and training programmes.
- Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak seasons and public holidays; comply with physical requirements for merchandise handling.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ years of sales experience; luxury retail experience strongly preferred.
- Proven experience operating POS systems and using mobile devices (iPad/laptop) for transactions and clienteling.
- Familiarity with social selling and short-form video content, live-stream shopping or video demos is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build client relationships, capture client data and meet sales targets.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, manage multiple customers simultaneously and adapt selling techniques to business needs.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), climb, bend and manoeuvre on the sales floor and in the stockroom.
Skills
Experience
At least 1 year of retail sales experience; prior luxury retail or premium brand experience preferred. Demonstrated track record of meeting individual sales targets and executing omni-channel selling activities.
Education
No formal degree required; a combination of relevant education and retail experience will be considered.
