Coach Sales Associate (Part-Time) in Carlsbad, California – luxury retail role delivering personalized shopping experiences and driving sales through omni-channel expertise.
Role & Responsibilities
- Represent Coach as a brand ambassador while adhering to the Coach Guide to Style and Service standards
- Build lasting client relationships through personalized styling, product expertise, and fashion advice tailored to individual preferences
- Drive sales through strategic cross-selling, upselling, and recommendations based on customer needs and product knowledge
- Utilize mobile POS, clienteling tools, and social selling platforms to capture customer data and encourage repeat purchases
- Develop and execute personal sales plans; meet or exceed individual and team key performance indicators
- Source new customers, maintain relationships, and follow up proactively to close sales and drive revenue
- Maintain high energy on the sales floor, manage multiple concurrent customers, and adapt selling techniques to evolving business needs
- Complete daily operational tasks including cash wrap processing, inventory management, replenishment, and visual merchandising while maintaining service excellence
- Keep sales floor and stockroom clean, organized, and adequately stocked while adhering to retail policies, POS procedures, and asset protection standards
- Process transactions efficiently, including purchases, returns, exchanges, and online order pickups
- Support inventory cycles by receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and managing product movement
- Assist teammates in functional areas as required to support store operations
- Foster a collaborative, trust-based team environment and encourage peer performance
- Participate in brand initiatives, training programs, and diversity and inclusion activities
- Welcome feedback, adapt behaviors responsibly, and maintain a calm, professional demeanor under pressure
Qualifications
- 1+ years of sales experience, preferably in luxury retail
- Knowledge of current fashion trends and competitive landscape
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer competency (iPad, laptop, Mobile POS)
- Strong English language proficiency
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment
- Physical capability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver throughout sales floor and stockroom
- Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, peak seasons, and high-traffic retail days including public holidays
Skills
Experience
1 to 3 years of sales experience in retail environments, with preference for luxury or fashion retail background. Experience with POS systems, mobile devices, and clienteling platforms is valued. Familiarity with social media, live-stream shopping, and video content creation is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; a combination of relevant education and practical sales experience will be considered.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 24.25 per hour.
