Coach seeks a Temporary Sales Associate in Buffalo, NY—luxury retail experience, strong customer service, and omni-channel selling skills required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Represent Coach as a brand ambassador while adhering to the Coach Guide to Style and Service standards
- Build lasting client relationships through personalized styling, product expertise, and fashion advice
- Drive sales through strategic cross-selling, upselling, and tailored recommendations aligned with customer needs
- Utilize mobile POS systems, clienteling tools, and social selling platforms (including short-form video) to capture customer data and encourage repeat purchases
- Develop and execute personal sales plans; consistently meet or exceed individual and team KPIs
- Source new customers, maintain relationships, and follow up to close sales
- Maintain high energy on the sales floor while managing multiple customers and adapting techniques to evolving business needs
- Complete daily operational tasks including cash wrap, inventory processing, replenishment, and visual merchandising while upholding service standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floor and stockroom; follow retail policies, POS procedures, and asset protection protocols
- Process transactions efficiently including purchases, returns, exchanges, and online order pickups
- Support inventory management cycles by receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and tracking product movement
- Assist teammates across functional areas as needed to support team objectives
- Foster a collaborative and trust-based environment; encourage positive team performance
- Participate in brand initiatives, training programs, and diversity and inclusion activities
- Welcome constructive feedback, adapt behaviors accordingly, and maintain a calm, professional demeanor in high-volume settings
Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ years of sales experience, preferably in luxury retail with demonstrated fashion trend knowledge and competitive awareness
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems, basic computer skills (iPad/laptop, Mobile POS platforms), walkie-talkie operation, and ability to read pricing and release documentation
- Strong English language proficiency
- Ability to lift regularly up to 25 lbs. (occasionally up to 50 lbs.) and maneuver sales floor and stockroom environments through climbing, bending, kneeling, and sustained standing
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment
- Preferred: Luxury retail background, social media proficiency, experience with live-stream shopping or video demonstrations, clienteling expertise, and data acquisition skills

Experience
Minimum 1+ years of direct sales experience, ideally in luxury retail, with demonstrated knowledge of fashion trends, competitor landscape, and customer service excellence. Experience with mobile and omni-channel selling platforms is highly valued.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; additional retail, fashion, or business education is a plus but not required.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
